Our new title ‘2012 Secrets’ is close to completion and will be released on the app store soon!

The developers are currently putting on the final touches on the game and then we will go into a short testing period.

We are also planing on releasing a demo version and will post an update before we do.

The irockgames.com site has seen an incredible amount of new visitors ever since its release a few weeks ago.

The team at irockgames is working hard to complete 2012 Secrets within the next few weeks and cannot wait to show it to the public!

We are approaching the completion of our title “2012 Secrets” and are very excited about it…obviously!

“2012 Secrets” is a game that we are creating in collaboration with the world renowned author Lawrence E. Joseph who wrote the bestseller “Apocalypse 2012: An Investigation into the End of Civilization”.

This game will feature 10 levels, each with a super stylized image of the upcoming apocalypse. In each level the gamer has to find a total of 20 objects that are well hidden inside the image. The goal is, under time pressure, to identify all of the objects; if time runs out, the level is reset and the game starts anew.

In between levels the gamer will learn interesting facts about the apocalypse that were provided by the author himself.

We soon will release the first screenshots!

It’s irockgames goal to release one game a month. And as of right now we are right on track. “2012 Secrets” will be released in July and “Space Destroyer” (working title) will follow in August.

Just a quick shout out to all of you who have believed in us! Thank you for checking out irockgames.com and for downloading voro!

irockgames was founded a few months ago by a group of developers, producers and designers from the U.S., Switzerland, Japan, Germany, Argentina, and France to create entertaining iPhone & iPod Touch video games.

voro was the first idea of the group and was also the first game that was published by irockgames just this month. In the meantime the company has been working on three more games that will all be released in the near future:

- “2012 Secrets” (a hidden objects game in collaboration with the best-selling author Lawrence E. Joseph)

- “Space Destruction” (working title, an arcade style space ship game this will come out in August)

- “Loser Cards” (a card game for everyone)

Where ever possible, irockgames is trying to produce games that are good for your gray matter. For example, in voro the goal is to match shapes in different colors as quickly as possible and make them explode by tapping them (sounds like an IQ Test, right?).

It took us a total of almost four months to develop voro. It started out with a simple idea and turned into a pretty big production in which developers from Japan, France, Germany and the U.S. joined forces to make this game a reality.

One of the bigger obstacles we had to overcome in mid-production was to figure out how to destroy shapes in a quick and fun way. Initially, the gamer would have to drag shapes into the center just in time when the right center shape appeared (that’s also where the idea for the name “voro”, which means “swallow” in Latin, came from), but then we realized that that took way too long and even became unrealistic as soon as the center shape started switching faster. Fortunately enough we were able to solve the problem by just tapping the screen.

voro was successfully submitted to Apple and so we are now patiently awaiting their approval! Patience, patience…
